But now from Brexit to Canada to Italy to Austria to Hungary the Trump Buchanan Perot ideology seems to be steamrolling everyone.

the Trump Buchanan Perot ideology you say - now what's that? I thought that Trump and associates represented a vacuous, chaotic absence of reflective thought on all issues: in effect, an ideaology-free zone.
No, there's an ideology in common to the three: anti-trade populism.
No. America is a country that should put it's own interests first and needs to be run like a tight ship.

Then why does Socialism end up producing the worst dictators and mass murderers in history? Stalin, Pol Pot, Castro, Mao and Hitler?
Have you not flogged this pet canard of yours to death by now, Cassowary?

Not at all helpful!
Probably because all the rebuttals to it have not refuted his arguments... Start a topic on it and have a real debate.
What argument? He just tries to equate an ideology with a couple of individuals who made their own versions of said ideology. But he nevers addresses the basic aspects of the ideology, because he doesn't understand them...
Are you saying that Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Castro and Hitler were not Socialists?

Cassowary, I would like to deny that the likes of former dictator Marcos of the Philippines; General Franco of Spain; the Marquis de Sade or the godfather of the Mafia were/are not fellow members of the same church that I belong to, but unfortunately I can't.

Likewise, there is no law, cosmic or man made that can prevent the most unconscionable scoundril from identifying himself as a socialist.

Good point Neverfail. Marcos, Franco and Mafia dons were Catholics. There is no denying it. But you can at least say they were not attempting to implement Jesus's teachings. But Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin were trying to implement Marx's teachings.

There was Marx, the thinker, and there is Marx, the excuse for anyone to do as he wishes. Mao might, but Pol Pot and Stalin didn't understand most of what Marx said or wrote. They just used it as a cover for their dictatorial instincts. Socialism is a combination of human rights and solidarity, something those so-called socialist leaders would never try to implement. But I guess that is also beyond your capacity - or willingness - to understand.

On the contrary, Sertorio. I understand perfectly well. To implement Socialism requires compulsion for it is against human nature. That is why Socialism produced the worst dictators.

Promoting human rights and solidarity in a society is, in your opinion, against human nature. That may be true as far as your nature is concerned, but fortunately there are many people around whose nature is different from yours...

In Japan such call to arms would work. Will it in Canada?...

That wouldn't be because Japan is perhaps the most homogeneous racial, ethnic and cultural nation in the world would it?
