Hi Jim Thanks for the concern. I had some minor surgery and was told afterwards to be careful. As far as the surgery goes "so far so good" as the man falling from a 10 story building was heard to say as he passed each floor. :D -- My favorite analogy for life though building height may very.

But I appear to be fine. and the surgery did what it was supposed to do.

The dirty details are a bit of a tale. I had severe but "temporary" frost bite when I was young on covering my entire feet. They told me at the time the effects were temporary. They were wrong. ended up with small blockages behind both knees and because of the damage to the blood vessels in my feet from the frost bite there was not enough blood flow. So I had to go to a plumber to fix the blockage. (One down one to go in a month)

Oh the frost bite was from being a white water raft guide I had to get a raft and the people in it that were stuck on a rock in the middle of a rapid. That was on a day that was 28 F with a water temp of 35 F
To do that i jump in the water twice.
Once to get the raft unstuck from the rock then after 45 minutes standing on the rock in a stiff wind getting back to shore. So all be warned if you want to gripe about how cold it is outside, unless you are at one of the poles or something similar you don't know what you are talking about. :D

I went to student health services and was put in a tiny examining room. While there about twenty people ( I am not kidding ) came in to look at my feet. I swear they were charging people at the door.So l asked if i had mistaken their circus for a medical clinic. Then they sent me to dermatology where the dermatologist told me I had the most classic case of incipient frost bite he had ever seen. He said he would not charge me anything if his students could come in and examine my feet and he could take photos for medical journal or book or educational purposes. Maybe for some foot porn fetish magazine.

So it should be noted that I have "FAMOUS FEET" If I ever meet Steve Martin I intend to tell him that happy feet drool and famous feet rule. ;)

Anyway thanks again for asking Jim.

I'm glad your surgery was a success and hope the follow up is as well. As I recall, I'm not physically so far from you in real life, if you need help, please let me know.

Thanks Steve As I said so far so good.

One other thing when I went in for the surgery, the nurse came out on the far side of the counter and told me to go through a door and she would see me "on the other side"
