I'm aware of a street argot-version of singlish called 'cock'. Like the English cockney or rhyming slang it's used in idle banter, talking sh1t or perhaps discussing matters one wishes to keep the gendarmes innocent of.....;>...........

I never heard of a language called "cock".

Maybe you are referring to the phrase "talking cock". That means talking rubbish.

Singapore = Malaysia with a different pro-rata mix of the same ethnicities.

In Malaysia, Malay is the "official" national language and English the language they actually speak.

Neat video re Singaporean lingo. Ref Malaysia - would welcome cassowary's view on that, neverfail. It's not been my experience that English is the usual spoken language among Malays.

You are right Jim. Englisn is not the usual spoken language among the Malays in Malaysia.

You are right Jim. Englisn is not the usual spoken language among the Malays in Malaysia.
From my own admittedly brief experience many years ago, you could have fooled me.
