AI as generally spoken of in current conversations. It will bring UBI with a select few elitists in control of everything. They will inevitably decide that they don't need all these people on UBI then they will work to eliminate the "wasted" resources. Which will likely take the guise of eliminating those on UBI. As the amount of money available will always be exceeded by the means and desire to spend it. After all when has socialism every worked out in the long run. Meanwhile those on UBI, without a reason, without motivation, to do better than simply living aren't all going to express themselves to a higher plain of existence They will be no more than to be slaves of the system. They might as well be cattle in a feed lot.

And that does not even address what would happen should an omnipotent AI arise.
