There are parastatal media outlets with editorial independence. But that you think TASS, RT, and the rest your network of dezinformatisiya are among them speaks very poorly for either your discernment, your honesty, or both.
Contrarily to you I am quite capable of determining if an item of news is plausible or not, and thus trustworthy or not. To you such an item of news is trustworthy if it emanates from one of your preferred sources, no matter how implausible it may be. That's why you are happy repeating brainless propaganda. Like you I may sometimes be wrong in my assessment, but not as often as you.

That's your pride speaking out for you Sertorio; though you are in denial about that as in so much else.

In the case of the ABC current affairs item in exiled Russian journalists living in exile in Latvia and from that position exposing the lies in Putin's official propaganda back in their homeland: all that the ABC production does is to allow the exiles to speak up for themselves. Does that count as "propaganda" in your estimation?

Well, I suppoose that it is in a way. Arguably, the most potent form of propaganda that exists is is the truth.

Sertorio, please be guided by the concensus among the rest of us and not by the power of your ego. It is YOU, not we who "is happy repeating propaganda": though I would not describe contempary Russian propaganda as "brainless" as much as cunningly targeted on dupes.

Sometimes I am wrong and, contrarily to the rest of you, I easily recognize when I am wrong. But I have never told a lie, nor defended anything I thought might not be true. I defy you to prove I am wrong in so stating.

I think you are wrong in your assessment most of the time because you are incapable in determining if an item of news is plausible or not.

The best way to judge if a news source (say Tass or BBC) is reliable or not is to see if it is critical of the party in power. Does the BBC criticise the British government or air views that contradict official government view? Does Tass criticise Putin?

Self censorship in respect of internal political matters doesn't mean not being reliable on all other matters. I have never caught TASS lying on anything of interest to me.

Then you can't rely on Tass to report accurately on the Ukraine war since it has lots to do with the one in power in Russia. On other matters, like day dogs and cats, then yes you can rely on Tass.

No you can’t. Bad governance is never good.

You mean you don’t trust Tass to report something as mundane as dogs and cats?
