News from Ukraine
Morale is high in Ukrain as vast majority thinks Ukrain is headin in the right direction. Oil prices are falling. That’s bad for Putin.

Re: News from Ukraine
I dedicate this post to all fantasy lovers who insist on Ukrainian victories. If this advance by the Russian troops leads to the liberation of Adveevka there will an end to Ukrainian shelling of the city of Donetsk and the senseless killing of civilians in that city. And the end of the war will be closer.UKRAINIAN DEFENCE IN PESKI COLLAPSED
https://southfront.org/ukrainian-defenc ... collapsed/
The first reports on the DPR control of the village of Peski came on August 4. They were later confirmed on August 5.
The deputy commander of the 11th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Yenakiyevo-Danube of the People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic, declared in his interview that the town is under control of the Allied forces..
“The village itself is under our control, it can be said with confidence,” he answered the question of the Russian TV channel.
The same reports were made by the DPR military on the spot on the evening of August 4.
Russian-led forces entered Peski on August 2.
At the moment, Russian control of a bigger part of the town were confirmed. The advancing units reportedly reached the western outskirts of Pervomaiskoe. The mop up operation in Peski continues.
The advancing units are expected to develop their offensive towards Vodianoe to surround Ukrainian forces in Avdeevka from the south-western direction. The General Staff of Ukraine has confirmed the growing threat for its grouping in Avdeevka amid Russian advance to the south of the town.
The withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a major victory for the Russian, L/DPR military. The Donetsk front lines have slightly changed since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine. Fighting on the outskirts of Donetsk has been going on for many years. The AFU have been shelling civilians in Donetsk and on the outskirts of the city from their military positions in Peski. The Peski area was one of the most heavily fortified front lines. The AFU have equipped their positions for many years and now their defence collapses.

Re: News from Ukraine
It's taking longer than some people expected, but the Ukrainian armed forces are collapsing. I wouldn't be surprised if that collapse was so sudden that the whole of the East and South of the Ukraine would soon be liberated.Members of Ukraine’s 59th, 61st brigades leave positions — Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW, August 6. /TASS/. Service members of Ukraine’s 59th and 61st Brigades and the 35th Marine Brigade are leaving their positions after refusing to obey attack orders, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing on Saturday.

Your dictionary must be upside-down again, because you keep confusing "liberating" for "conquering", even though they are opposites.

Liberating the ethnic Russians from the Ukrainian oppression. As you will soon see, when people start voting on referenda on joining the Russian Federation.SteveFoerster wrote: ↑Sat Aug 06, 2022 6:44 amYour dictionary must be upside-down again, because you keep confusing "liberating" for "conquering", even though they are opposites.
Ukraine's progressin retaking Kherson

Ukraine's efforts have virtually cut off Kherson and left thousands of Russian troops stationed near the Dnipro River "highly vulnerable."
Britain's Defence Ministry said Ukrainian forces have probably established a bridgehead south of the Ingulets River, and had used new, long-range artillery to damage at least three of the bridges crossing the Dnipro.
"Russia's 49th Army, stationed on the west bank of the Dnipro River, now looks highly vulnerable," it said in a regular intelligence bulletin on Twitter, adding that Kherson was virtually cut off from the other territories occupied by Russia.
