Yes, it is terrible that they are willing to pay a price to support their neighbours’ freedom and independence.

The duty of the government of a sovereign state is towards its people, not their neighbours. Except in the case of a natural disaster.

What natural disaster is occurring in the Ukraine?

None. That's why we should leave them alone.

The problem is between Russia and the Ukraine. They should solve it between them, without the interference of any other state. Had we done it and there might never have been a military intervention in the Ukraine.

Is any government serving its own people well by ignoring a growing menace beyond its borders? I would earnestly suggest that in the case of the governments of France, Germany and Italy viz Ukraine the two duties are one and indivisible!
