Russian journalists fill pro-Kremlin site with anti-war articles

Post by SteveFoerster » Mon May 09, 2022 10:02 am

‘Paranoid dictator’: Russian journalists fill pro-Kremlin site with anti-war articles
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/ ... r-articles
Polyakov said each article was sourced from “information available online”, which he said he was usually not allowed to use given the outlet’s “editorial position” and strict censorship rules that in effect criminalise independent reporting.
That's a good succinct explanation for why Sertorio's network of desinformatsiya has no credibility. I just hope that Polyakov and Miroshnikova survive this courageous act of conscience.

I am all in favour of dissent as I am in favour of freedom of the press. The trouble is while The Guardian draws the attention to dissent, it never gives room to those who support Putin. I never saw on The Guardian interviews - which exist - with people from the Donbass who complain about being shelled by the Ukrainian army, or pictures of civilians killed in the Donbass by Ukrainian missiles. How many photos or videos have you seen of May 9th celebrations in Mariupol and other cities liberated by the Russian forces?

Could it be because the Guardian does not publish fake news cooked up by Russian disinformation campaign?

But don't worry, he assures us that he doesn't support the Putin regime.

  Oh, how very altruistic of Mr. Putin.

I suppose he also wants nothing in return? :)

He wants a peaceful Europe willing to cooperate and trade with Russia, free of US interference.

What's wrong with "willing"?...
