(I join this discussion with some reluctance.)
"The left pressures Asians to join their fake narrative of white supremacy?
1) White supremacy? Pale complexioned Caucasians still form the majority population of the United States. There would be something very strange if they were not politically dominant.
Of course, as the majority group, they would be politically dominant. But that's not white supremacy means. White supremacy means using racist means to keep whites in power and wealth at the expense of minorities. It is like Ketuanan Melayu or Malay Supremacy
in Malaysia. That means laws that discriminates against a racial group like what they had in the South at one time.
I don't think that is true in America today. Asian Americans have done well. All this talk about white supremacy by Democrats is just a means to get black votes. It is also useful to tell this lie to explain away black failure. They fall for it everytime because the truth is painful - that black failure is due mostly to their own cultural flaws.
2) Independently of that: there are some quite militant organised white supremist groups within the United States. Even US government national security bodies have earmarked these as a threat to US democracy.
There are such racist groups but there are also black racist groups as well. I think the national security groups are saying that because they support Democrats and so must adhere to the Democrat narrative.
3) Anti-Asian sentiment has risen in recent years both in the USA and in my country: principally as a consequence of the PRC's growing power assertiveness in world affairs. But in the case of the USA additionally stoked up by Donald Trump while president for entirely selfish political purposes.
Somehow I don't believe that "the left" (whoever these are) in the United States would need to "pressure" Asians as it would be rather obvious to these latter on which side their bread is buttered.
Trump supports Asians. When an Asian group sued Havard and other Ivy League universities for racial discrimination in admissions, the Trump administration supported them. But Biden withdrew his support because he owes the blacks for hsi election victory. Trump wanted to drum up anti CCP rhetoric but unfortunately be was perceived to be anti Chinese or anti Asian.
