Nasty they may be, but they aren't any of the US business. Changing them into democracies - if ever - must be the work of their peoples. The idea that the US has been empowered to "free" those peoples is preposterous. That's why I take their side against the US.

But you call yourself a libertarian socialist. There is nothing libertarian about any of them. So you support these thuggish countries against the US, which is closer to libertarianism.

Don't be naive. If people were truly horrified about violation of human rights, they would start by bettering the situation in their own countries. You don't improve the human right situation in China by attacking it. You would have a much better chance to do it by treating China with fairness and resorting to diplomacy. That's one situation in which the carrot works a lot better than the stick. But the West doesn't really give a damn about human rights in China, it just wants to hurt China...

But China is a far, far worse offender. The US does not imprison 1 million Muslims to get them to change their religion. You always support the most totalitarian regimes with the worst human rights abuses and wants them to defeat America which has a far better human rights record. And you call yourself a “libertarian socialist.”
