But then they can’t suck up money from the richer Canadians. Bums are like leaches who only have guilt to sell. “We are oppressed by you. Give us money.”
Not necessarily "give us money" but rather "show us respect".

Then get rich. Once you are rich, people respect you.

If you had been around at the time of the French Revolution, you would have been beheaded! As a sign of respect... :D

You don't need to go back as far as the French revolution Sertorio. Even in our time the wealthy are sometimes envied, sometimes hated; but respect is not something that one automatically attracts because of the size of your income and/or property portfilio. One of Cassowary's self-delusions seems to be that having lots of money makes you respectable.

Yes, Marxists are believers of a reality from the 18th and 19th centuries. Marx was deeply influenced by the French Revolution. Times have changed. In those days social mobility was difficult.

Today, those with skills, products and services to sell will make money $$$. Today, the capitalist and the proletariat can be the same person. You can be an employee and own stocks making you both worker and capitalist.

In the capitalist era, your wealth is based on a never ending struggle with other competitors. You can go from pauper to billionaire in one generation as well as the reverse.

Abandon your out of date ideology.

You do not seem to be aware that for a lot of people on this planet it still is.

Surely you are not referring to Australia.

Even here there are some Cassowary; I regret to say too many for my liking.

With the onset of the already evident COVID-19 economic depression along with the mass unemployment and privation that is certain to bring about, socio-economic immobility is bound to get worse worldwide.
