You would se it that way Sertorio! I have a friend originally from a Latin American republic who you somewhat remind me of. I once tried to talk straight economics (such as I learned in high school) to him and he accused me of speaking "capitalist idealogy".Sertorio wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 1:49 amInformation?...To me it sounded like politically motivated propaganda...neverfail wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 5:42 pmJust because Manuel Suárez-Mier is currently employed as a professor at a prestigous American university does not necessarily make him a mercenary. I don't know the person and had never even heard about him before I read the first of his recent two reports on the state of his home country in the Asia Times. It seems to me that you are casting unkind aspersions on the reputation of someone you probably do not know in person either because he is trying to impart information that you do not want to know about.
The point was that economics was not part of their high school cirriculum back in the country he came from. No wonder there are so many socialists in Latin America as in Latin Europe. Ignorence breeds rumour and hearsay.
