Bernie wants Socialism. History shows that Socialism leads to poverty and then dictatorship. Nasty things happen in a dictatorship. That’s what I mean.

I know what you mean and I can tell you that you are worried over nothing.
Am I? Hitler was Socialist, democratically elected by the people. Then he became a dictator. Same for Chavez and Mugabe. History often repeats itself.

That's what the Bernie supporters are saying. I think they are probably right.
The problem with Bernie for the DNC establishment, is a Bernie nomination will destroy their political machine. Otherwise they would drop back ten yards and punt the ball away. Then wait until 2024 when Trump is no longer in the running.

But without their machine the DNC *establishment* will lose control of the party and no longer be able to support their political machine. IE the money will not flow. The control will be in the hands of someone else. Nominee Bernie would put his people in control of the DNC. His delegates would push their staff aside in favor of Bernie brohs. The DNC establishment will have no place to go as the RNC establishment has found IE The Never Trumpers. Who are generally those in the republican party that are supported by billionaire oligarchs that are primarily interested in their own financial inter
No conspiracy on that scale is possible Doc.
Not conspiracy so much as group think. They have created an "US vs them" bubble around themselves. So it is self reinforcing.
And they are still doing it Look at this headline from NPR:

Klobuchar's 3rd Place Finish In New Hampshire 'Shocked The Establishment'

February 12, 202011:36 AM ET

In a crowded field of candidates, Klobuchar carved out a path running as a pragmatic moderate from the Midwest who can consolidate support from liberal and more centrist voters alike.
Message Klobucher: a "pragmatic" "moderate" "liberal" is implied to be "anti-Establishment" WTH is that supposed to mean? This is NPR talking about one of the two candidates the NYT endorsed.
Somewhere In the boardrooms of the Democratic Party there are a bunch of consultants who think that only Joe Biden can win. Apparently this is because he's a doddering old man and can somehow get the black vote, despite not being black himself. It's absurd. I have no idea why this idea has such traction with them. Of course, he's been in Congress for a very long time so he knows everyone and knows everything about everyone, So there's that.

But at the end of the day what kind of a progressive candidate is pro life and against legalizing pot? The candidate you run the has to actually stand for something different from the other guy.
But Biden does stand for other things --- Like talking to walls

Though I am pretty sure he thought he was talking to Wall St

Or maybe it was about the chains of Wall St while talking to the people of North Carolina being put back in chains while in Danville Virginia

Joe just tells us things the way (he thinks) they are. No Marlarky !!!

Its no wonder he is the most qualified candidate in the establishment democratic field and until he lost in Iowa the long term front running in the race.

For the CCP, hiding the truth is part of their job.

..."first as tragedy and then as farce". (Karl Marx).

The trouble with American politics are that they seem to be nothing but farce.

So you see, you have nothing to worry about if Bernie gets elected.

It was the SS's job to round up Jews...

There are too many checks and balances for Bernie to become a dictator. Also the tradition of democracy is so strong in the US. Even if Bernie does not become a dictator, he will ruin the economy with his Socialist policies. That's bad enough.

How do you know? Your usual "guilt by association" argument?

 Don't take it so seriously Cass!
