My theory is this. When Trump promised to drain the swamp and lock up Hillary Clinton, the swamp took notice. But he can’t win, they comforted themselves.

The Politicians on both sides are comfortable with each other. They may publicly yell at one another but both sides are getting rich from politics.

Both sides go easy on the other because they know power alternates. The unspoken rule is that we don’t investigate you when we are in power and you don’t investigate us when you are in power.

So both sides laugh all the way to the bank. But Trump is different. He is an outsider who has no need to make money from politics. Even worse, he promised to drain the swamp. His voters even chanted, “lock her up.”

So when he unexpectedly got elected the swamp had a fit. That’s the reason for the resistance. They are fighting for their lives. This explains the hatred for him.
You may be right in your assessment, but the trouble is that Trump - as the British ambassador said - is too inept to be able to drain the swamp. He simply is not smart enough, nor powerful enough. So, instead of getting better, things are going to get a lot worse. Let's hope Trump does not blow the world up while he is trying to drain the enormous swamp...
British MI6 IE the British government actively supported a coup against the US president. If I were Trump I would not just give the Ambassador his walking papers I would cut off diplomatic relations as the British government is part of the swamp.

Mean while an anonymous amicus brief was presented by someone unknown except through their lawyer demanded to see the 2000 pages of documents because their name *might* be in those documents so they could have their name redacted.
A lot of the attacks on Trump strikes me as contrived and fake. Like him being friends with thugs like Putin and Kim.

You are largely correct but this goes a lot deeper. Unless the above mentioned 2000 pages of civil lawsuit evidence are released to the public this will all be covered up Epstein if he were cooperate would get a deal for not talking.

Rumor is that Labor Secretary Acosta was order to give immunity to Epstein because Epstein was with US intelligence. Implying that Epstein was running a honey trap for someone to entrap the wealthy and powerful. In Florida ignorance of girl being underage is no excuse under the law. Have sex with a minor even if they look like they are 25 you are still guilty of a very serious crime.

Epstein's house was wired with cameras all over including the bath room with the dental chair. The FBI found many DVDs of video from those cameras. Indicating the Epstein was still doing what he was accused of in 2006-2007

Acosta Was Told Epstein ‘Belonged To Intelligence,’ ‘Leave It Alone,’ Report Says

A new report from The Daily Beast shed light on a potential reason that alleged pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was given the deal of a lifetime when he was convicted on child prostitution charges in 2008.

The report says that Alexander Acosta, a former U.S. attorney in Miami, told interviewers in the Trump transition team that he was told to back off of Epstein at the time because Epstein "belonged to intelligence." The Daily Beast reports:

“Is the Epstein case going to cause a problem [for confirmation hearings]?” Acosta had been asked. Acosta had explained, breezily, apparently, that back in the day he’d had just one meeting on the Epstein case. He’d cut the non-prosecution deal with one of Epstein’s attorneys because he had “been told” to back off, that Epstein was above his pay grade. “I was told Epstein ‘belonged to intelligence’ and to leave it alone,” he told his interviewers in the Trump transition, who evidently thought that was a sufficient answer and went ahead and hired Acosta. (The Labor Department had no comment when asked about this.)

The report was authored by Vicky Ward, who did original reporting on Epstein for Vanity Fair in 2003 and who allegedly had portions of her story — about the allegations of Epstein's relationships with girls — removed before publication.

It's unclear what exactly Acosta's alleged remarks mean. Acosta is scheduled to give a press conference this afternoon at 2:30 PM EST to talk about the issue.

Epstein, 66, was arrested on Saturday on charges of child sex trafficking stemming from alleged incidents that happened from 2002 to 2005.

The Miami Herald reported in 2008 on the VIP treatment that Epstein received from prosecutors:

Unlike other convicted sex offenders, Epstein didn’t face the kind of rough justice that child sex offenders do in Florida state prisons. Instead of being sent to state prison, Epstein was housed in a private wing of the Palm Beach County jail. And rather than having him sit in a cell most of the day, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office allowed Epstein work release privileges, which enabled him to leave the jail six days a week, for 12 hours a day, to go to a comfortable office that Epstein had set up in West Palm Beach. This was granted despite explicit sheriff’s department rules stating that sex offenders don’t qualify for work release.

The reporter for the Miami Herald who did the extensive reporting on Epstein, Julie K. Brown, said on Sunday that there are "very powerful people" who are "sweating a little bit" over Epstein’s arrest on Saturday because they could become implicated in the case.

Hmm. Running a honey trap? More likely, Bill Clinton saved him because Epstein could name him. Also maybe he had Clinton on videotape.

People are right to prosecute child molesters. I just wonder why people who supply weapons which kill thousands of children - like in Yemen - are nor prosecuted as well...Or is killing a child less objectionable than molesting it?...

The Iranians are free to stop supporting the violence in Yemen any time they choose to.
