Nonsense. What do you mean by that? Can you give an example?
American justice is based on retribution, not justice. That's why they still make widespread use of the death penalty.
I believe in "an eye for an eye." So if you take away someone's life, a just punishment is the death penalty.
Thank you. You just confirmed my point...
It is justice to sentence someone to death for murder. What would you do that you consider just?
In Portugal we have a maximum sentence of 25 years, which I think is fair. Many people will change in the course of those 25 years, and may come back to society without being a danger to it. You, as a Christian, should believe in redemption...
Its arbitrary what is considered just. To you, its 25 years jail. To me, the death penalty is just in some situations. I believe in redemption. But only Christ can redeem you. Jail time may not.

To support executions, by definition one believes either that those in the criminal justice system never make mistakes or else that it's acceptable to execute innocent people. The first is laughable, the second barbaric.

So we've moved to the death penalty, I guess that means there is no incriminating collusion between Russia and Trump and alwaysfail and Milo were totally lying.

Lol. Some are better at it than others.

Your preoccupation betrays more than you are aware.

Of course, the criminal justice system, being run by humans, make mistakes. But the death penalty also deters crime. If it saves more lives than it wrongly kills, there is a net gain in human lives. If we say deters 2 murders for every innocent person executed, is that not worth it?

What I find much more interesting than the possible Russian collision is the rabid defense of Trump by his supporters. They seem to feel he is above investigation!
