US embassy in Jerusalem today -

Yes, there's no sense in sitting around waiting for Arabs in Palestine to make peace. Jerusalem is Israel's capital, and that's where embassies belong.

"Palestinians were offered their own state repeatedly in the last two decades, but neither Yasir Arafat nor Mahmoud Abbas could ever get to yes. Instead, violence was always their default position."

And look for more violence along Israel's borders today.
West Jerusalem has been part of Israel since 1948, so I don't see any problem with embassies being situated there. But they shouldn't be placed in East Jerusalem unless the Palestinian question has been solved.

Sertorio,

You are right. Everyone has the right to choose their capital. Palestinian anger is an indication that they refuse to accept Israel 's right to exist.

Now we're getting protests from various Muslim and European entities (including France) that locating the US embassy in Jerusalem violates international law. Expect some UN "resolutions" on the matter.

I'm sure U.S. policymakers are terrified by the prospect of having to veto more toothless UN resolutions....

As is the constitution of Hamas!

"our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious" and calls for the eventual creation of an Islamic state in Palestine, in place of Israel and the Palestinian Territories"

That's right Milo. They even quoted their scriptures prophecizing the eventual extermination of Jews. The two reasons for failure to achieve peace are:

1)Palestinian refusal to accept the existence of Israel.
2)Israeli restraint.

If Israel kills one or two million Palestinians, I think they will accept Israel.

The Muslim world is braying about 55 Palestinians dying today, as if that's the worst Israel can do!

Trump's action regarding the US embassy in Israel may the only thing he's done that I completely agree with.

Make it six million and it will be even with the holocaust...

Only 55? No wonder there is no peace. It should have been 550. It should be 550 each time they misbehave. Multiply that by the number of times they commit terrorist acts, they will come to their senses.

Nah. We are all civilized people here. So we want to achieve peace between Israel and Palestinians with as little bloodshed as possible.

I don't think we even need 1,000,000 dead Palestinians. Maybe 100,000 will be enough. You see, the Palestinians don't want peace. They have not given up their mad dream of destroying Israel. Israel has proven itself willing to live in peace with the Palestinians time and again while the Palestinians have proven themselves unwilling to live in peace with Israel time and again.

They have not given up trying to destroy Israel because Israel has not killed enough of them. How many Palestinians must die before they accept Israel's right to exist? What's your guess?

The fewer the better of course. But that is up to the Palestinians. If you desire peace, let Israel kill lots of Palestinians each time they start their usual nonsense. You know. Hold a "peaceful " demonstration. Get people to bring their babies.

Mix in terrorists with weapons. Provoke the Israeli soldiers to shoot and they cynically hope that their babies and kids get killed. Then cry a lot in front of the cameras. The world protests against Israel. Next time, don't fall for it. Just ignore the Palestinian song and dance. Then you help the cause of peace.
