Saudi Arabia gets its first real government
Goldman on recent Saudi palace coup.
Re: Goldman on recent Saudi palace coup.
Nonsense. This is a senior member of the thugocracy using corruption as a pretext to support a massive power grab. The reason for it is the KSA doesn't have the money it used to, so the royals at the centre of power have to grab it in order to keep the spending up.neverfail wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2017 7:05 pmhttp://www.atimes.com/saudi-arabia-gets ... overnment/

Funny how Spengler's near constant harping on demographics is silent here, when talking about the country with the biggest demographics problem in the world. The reason Spengler is writing about it in such glowing terms is that his paymasters told him to. 'We need you to find a win for Trump!'
The KSA needs to develop institutions that support democracy, human rights and rule of law. Although this action may lead there, there's no particular reason to think that it will; it never has before.

The Shah was a reformer too. The Shah once said his big mistake was when he stopped bribing the clerics. The Virtue and vice police are probably not going to like the reforms.Milo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2017 11:35 pmThe Shah was a reformer too. Re: Goldman on recent Saudi palace coup.
So, after no due process whatsoever, a prince is let off after forking over a billion or so dollars.
Saudi anti-corruption drive: Prince Miteb freed 'after $1bn deal'
Nothing new so far!

There is a weird cross scripting tracking site associated with the link to the video
Better to go to the BBC page then look at the video.
