Re: Grampy, why are you hiding in that closet??.....

“Evangelical” influence in our politics seems to have concealed the broader decline of traditional religious institutions. I'm glad he used scare quotes, because the fervent support of Donald Trump by that particular cultural group demonstrates that the tenets of their religion are far less importa...

This is only a failure if one's goal is a world full of nationalists.
The world has always been full of nationalists.
We are all nationalists.
Speak for yourself.

As much as anything, I think that Trump's style would grate on most east Asians. Hey, it turns out I'm East Asian! ;) https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/26/politics/north-and-south-korean-leaders-meet-again/index.html Does anyone else get the pop-up with the pic of Anderson Cooper furtively reading a news...

Re: Pimping out citizenship

The U.S. is currently experiencing a series of teachers' strikes that have closed schools in various states, and a friend in Germany recently got stuck overnight because of a strike at the airport. And don't get me started about the French! So perhaps a mere strike isn't the best evidence that a cou...
