Re: Kaliningrad: the EU Climbs Down

Had the West understood sooner that compromise is better than confrontation, we wouldn't have had a war in the Ukraine. No matter how many times you repeat that lie, you cannot make it true. I see. That's not true either. Once more: For you confrontation is better than compromise...Or else you woul...

Very well, munitions being Russia's second biggest export after fossil fuels, I'll concede the point. Except that in the US the merchants are...

Re: Is Texas on its Way Out?

Anyway, all that said, while it seems politically infeasible, culturally the different regions of North America are so different from one another that it would make sense to redraw borders from scratch. More reading, for those inclined: From 2011, American Nations , by Colin Woodard From 1981, The N...

Re: Is Texas on its Way Out?

Meaning if enacted, California essentially will secede from the other 49 states. Not really, since this SCOTUS will shoot that down as fast as you can say "Pull!" And if California refuses to comply like it has refused to comply on immigration law? California's reasoning is basically the same as th...

Re: Is Texas on its Way Out?

The Canadian experience with separatism is that it begins with terrorism and becomes employment for artists that can’t make it in the real world and 2nd rate politicians. As to the law, our federal government received a Reference from the SCC. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reference_Re_Secession_of...
