Avatar specs

Post by Hockey Dad » Fri Dec 16, 2016 8:25 am

...

Trying to fashion a decent avatar, but seems to limits are too tight (90x90 6k). The limit reads 7k, but 6k is what is asked for upon uploading.

Anything that low looks like a mess, unfortunately. The ATimes forum specs were 100x100pixels, 24k.

I think better quality avatars is a simple way to improve the appearance of 'the new place'.

The time to go back and edit posts seems much shorter than necessary, I'd like to see 30-60 minutes.

Good ideas all!

I've changed the avatar settings to 110x110 with an 11k limit and the time to edit a post is now 45 minutes.

8k still seems like very little, on Mac with Preview the result is very grainy and poor. Try getting this one down to 8k, in case you're using a better program.

No... It's worse than that!
Bloomberg Jan. 2016.... the upbeat theme of this year’s annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos: Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It suggests we’re on the cusp of a transformative era that will rival those triggered by the introduction of the steam engine, electrification, and computers. “The speed of current breakthroughs has no historical precedent,” proclaimed WEF founder Klaus Schwab in a December post on the website of Foreign Affairs, in which he name-checked a slew of emerging technologies, including 3D printing, quantum computing, and autonomous vehicles. “When compared with previous industrial revolutions, the Fourth is evolving at an exponential rather than a linear pace. ....”
