Politically between Brexit and Trump, an absolutely sh*t year, I know many here will not agree but they are wrong (there you are, liberal elitism for you)

Personally, absolutely fine - and personal is much more important than political.

But then the late 70s were awful for the UK before the Blessed Margaret Thatcher came in to rescue the show, strikes, high inflation, government went begging to the IMF, yet I got the right job and met the wonderful woman that was my wife for 35 years then. If you had told me then that 40 years on London would be regarded as the most desirable (and horrendously expensive) global city, I would have laughed myself silly.

At least they were the most entertaining possible outcomes.

I would say, at least in the case of Brexit, that history will judge that the right choice was inadvertently made for the wrong reasons.

Personally, absolutely fine - and personal is much more important than political.

Good for you. I know far too many people who cannot make that distinction, both in shady Washington, D.C. and the sunny Caribbean.
