Worth saying that decadent kings are often the best kind! Caligula is often associated with the fall of Rome but that happened centuries after him.

"Japanese railway commemorates 10th anniversary of cat stationmaster"

Is it any wonder that Japan has far exceeded Thailand in almost all fields of endeavor? Case in point. While Air Chief Marshall Foo Foo spent half of his time leading a decadent, profligate life in Germany, Stationmaster Tama stayed on the job, abstaining from chasing pussy and other distractions.

As we speak, the present Thai King is trying to play catch-up to his great-grandfather, who is depicted here in this documentary:

But, not an accurate depiction. The accomplished Rama IV had 32 wives and 82 kids. Rama X better get busy.

"Some Thais worry that a lasting power struggle is brewing." Worry? Why worry? Talk about your win-win scenario.

"The New York Post blocked in Thailand"
http://www.prachatai.org/english/node/6983

So, the NY Post and the Daily Mail are getting blocked . . . That's what happens when media dare to report on the, how shall we say, unusual activities of the new King.

"Thai Critic Faces Death Threat"

Pavin appears not to be charmed by the new king, to say the least. But fear not - the King is, as we speak, comfortably ensconced in his digs in Germany, cavorting with his mistresses.

Here's a German news report on the activities of the Thai Air Chief Marshal, accompanied by his support staff.
