Re: Evolution and Mankind's Destiny

Genetic engineering should be exclusively directed at curing/preventing some nasty diseases on individuals. Any temptation to artificially "improve" our species should be avoided at all costs. Like you, I am quite sure that we would come to regret the introduction of some of those "improvements"......

Re: Reps. Jordan and Gaetz call for Special Councel to investigate Clinton

Currently there are two democratic members of congress that have far more evidence to show highly inappropriate behavior(And that is being kind) But they are still in office. Yet there have already been declarations of Moore's guilt to the degree that Moore should not be elected and if he is should...

Re: Britain, an underrated economic miracle.

If my views sometimes strike you as being a bit extreme; please bear in mind that I am often responding to a protagonist poster whose own published views come across as obsessive. Not yours, by the way! Well, I'm a little obsessive. ;-) Better everywhere? You need only think about about dozens of p...

Re: Reps. Jordan and Gaetz call for Special Councel to investigate Clinton

Moore: 40 year old allegations. Some of which are pretty much completely lacking credibility. Others impossible to know at this late date. Democratic hack lawyer representing many of the women. All the charges come out one month before the election. Yeah, but it's a lot easier to believe that there...

Re: Who benefits most from the Zimbabwe coup?

The Who said it best: "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

Besides, I'm disappointed that Mugabe didn't get Ceaușescued. He certainly earned it.

Re: Singapore, a bastion of economic freedom

It is ironic that the land of Adam Smith, the UK, has grown soft with a huge dose of Socialism, ....... Has it? The post WW2 rise of the UK Labour Party is like a belated acknowledgement that, given the very inequitable distribution of the benefits during its Victorian era tilt at free market capit...

Re: Prediction: Half of all US colleges will be bankrupt in less than 10 years

As our resident higher education guy, I would say that other than a few institutions bereft of financial acumen, U.S. colleges and universities aren't going away any time soon. Clayton Christensen is very good at self-promotion, but to put it mildly, he's something of an outlier when it comes to th...

Re: Life Under Kim Jong Un

I'm as free market as anyone, but it's true that Adam Smith himself was a classical liberal, but not a hardcore free market ideologue. He'd have been in the libertarian quadrant of the Nolan chart, but not at the vertex. (It's also interesting to note that all of the ideas for which he is well known...

Any position against human longevity is quite literally against life itself and in favour of death. To all such, I say "you first".
eternal life = no evolution = decadence = death

very long life = almost no evolution = decadence = death
this nonsense = bollocks = anti-life = you first
